Florida Everglades:
Leadership in Environmental Advocate Development
Operation - (LEAD)

Presenting our new deployment this season for June 18-24 2017.

About

Our goal in raising awareness and opportunity for tomorrow's young adult leaders is about developing them in more than just getting on the water. Youth today are seeking a chance to save the world and be the hero. Soul River Inc's LEAD to the Florida Everglades will make that happen by building a foundation in conservation leadership. By establishing key partners in the conservation and climate change world and then connecting youth leaders with the building blocks to network and create synapses of professional working relationships with these key partners, Soul River Inc will ultimately be opening doors in political, managerial, scientific, and educational fields. The engagement between a professional key partner and a young leader is to evoke a thought-processing dialogue on pressing issues and current events that have urgency for response. SRI supports the development of the young leader - an ambassador of our environment. You create opportunities for SRI youth to LEAD!

How we grow leaders
LEADers will merge with critical key leaders in the conservation and environmental world on current dangers toward the Florida Everglades with regard to it's fragile ecosystems. LEADers will also act as field reporters when returning back to their own communities, building advocacy around the Everglades to help raise awareness. From addressing the issues to key political leaders to sharing in an open forum at City Hall to holding an online podcast - all of this presents opportunities for the youth to be a stronger voice. LEADers will also work on developing new business partnerships and will be tasked to learn about the Wildlife Refuge systems that are within and around the Everglades.
